Abeka Arithmetic 2 is a traditional, skill-oriented second-grade math curriculum designed to strengthen foundational math concepts through colorful workbooks, consistent spiral review, and practical word problems.
Key Concepts
- Operations: Addition and subtraction facts through 18; four-digit addition with carrying and subtraction with borrowing; introduction to multiplication and division facts (typically 1–5 tables).
- Number Sense & Applied Math: Place value up to the thousands, rounding, unit/comparing fractions, and ordinal numbers.
- Measurement & Geometry: Geometric and solid shapes, standard measures (inches, centimeters), and temperature/metric measures.
